About us

Fleetville Community Playgroup is a not-for-profit pre-school registered by Ofsted which meets at Fleetville Community Centre in St Albans on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings from 9am to 12noon. We can take up to 23 children aged from 2 1/4 years.

“Our emphasis is on children learning through play in a happy stimulating atmosphere.”

Our aims are:

  •  To provide a safe, caring and inspiring setting where children can learn and grow.
  •  To support children’s emotional well-being from their early year’s experiences.
  •  To provide a broad range of challenging and fun play activities both indoors and outdoors (This is linked to the EYFS curriculum)
  •  To treat each child as unique.

We have strong links with the local nursery schools and have a good reputation for the social preparations of our children allowing easy transition.

“Most families hear about us through recommendations”

Afternoon trial sessions, summer 2018

This Summer term, playgroup will be trialling a Wednesday afternoon session (12.30-3pm) for Fleetville nursery school children to attend after lunch club. If successful, and if there is enough interest, we will extend this in September 2018. Something to think about when considering your nursery places!
Please email or pop by to ask any questions or to apply for a place.
